WELCOME TO Peninsula

Peninsula Grammar is a day and boarding school for approximately 1450 students from three-year-old Kindergarten to Year 12.

At Peninsula Grammar we see learning not just as a path to university and a career, but also as a path to wellbeing. The books we read, the science we absorb, the languages we learn, the artistic, sporting and musical skills we acquire are the tools that enable us to fulfil our potential.

Our Prospectus: Learn. Grow. Flourish!

Volume 1, Flourish - The Learning Purpose tells the School’s story in a nutshell through stunning images and an accompanying narrative.

Volume 2, Flourish - The Learning Blueprint provides further detail and insight into life at  Peninsula Grammar.

Please take the time to browse both volumes and then share them with your friends and family. They are a great way to let the wider community know about the outstanding, holistic education available at our School.

Our international students benefit from the specialised facility of our English Language Centre, where they can hone their English skills before entering the mainstream classrooms. We also have 500 students studying on two campuses in China, where their excellent VCE results help them achieve a university place in the highly competitive Chinese system, or they can choose to study in Australia.

Our co-curricular activities include a highly respected music and drama program, sporting opportunities, a House program, unsurpassed pastoral care, a well defined code of behaviour and a well developed sense of community.

Our students' achievements are testament to the dedication and expertise of our teachers, who enjoy a close relationship with their students at all year levels. This personal knowledge gives them a good appreciation of what each student needs, educationally and socially. We continue to be justifiably proud of the well-rounded, well-educated, considerate and community-minded young people who constitute our past and present student body.

If you would like to find out how your child can join our school community, please contact our Admissions Office or phone 9788 7777 for more information or to arrange a tour.

Ross Patterson appointed as Principal of Balcombe Grammar

I am delighted to inform you that Mr Ross Patterson has been appointed to the position of Principal of Balcombe Grammar effective as of January 2019. Balcombe Grammar, located in Mt Martha, was founded in 2007 by the late Reverend John Leaver and, like Peninsula Grammar, is a member of the Victorian Ecumenical System of Schools.

Ross has been Head of Senior Years at Peninsula Grammar since 2016 and in that time has left an indelible legacy on the Senior Years.  His vision and drive to reinvigorate the House system has provided the School with a platform from which to further expand House spirit across all areas of the School.

We are grateful to Ross for his collaborative leadership, his commitment to the academic program and in particular the VCE, his exemplary classroom practice and his passion for sport. The students of the Senior Years have been the beneficiaries of his genuine warmth and caring demeanour and his sense of humour has been appreciated by staff and students alike.

This appointment is a significant promotion for Ross and it provides him with the next step in what I am sure will continue to be a highly successful career in education.  On behalf of the entire school community I congratulate Ross and wish him every success for the future.

We will begin the process of recruiting a successor to Ross in the coming weeks and at a later date we will take the opportunity to celebrate Ross’s significant achievements here at Peninsula and farewell him appropriately.

Peter Ford
