The range of curricular and extra-curricular activities at Peninsula School assists individual knowledge and skill development for successful transitions through the Middle School. A particular focus of our program is the assistance of Year 7 students during the transition from a primary school environment. Prior to beginning the year, a diverse range of activities and opportunities exist for students to develop a better understanding of the School and meet other students.

Activities Program
The Peninsula School provides a wide variety of co-curricular pursuits to encourage students to broaden their experiences in the Middle School. The program provides the opportunity to learn new skills whilst interacting with students of similar interest at different year levels. Over the three years, the students will participate in 6 different activities that they may have otherwise not experienced.

A large number of new activities were recently introduced including Group Fitness, Fun with Chinese Arts & Food, Motor biking, Photography, Self-defence, and Volleyball. With over twenty choices offered at each semester, students enjoy the challenges of learning a new skill and working collaboratively in a team environment.

In the Middle School, where students move from one teacher to another during their daily timetable, pastoral care is facilitated at the Year level in which the student is enrolled. The Head of a sub-school is supported in the appropriate pastoral care program by the relevant Heads of Year and the team of Year Level Tutors.

The Heads of sub-schools set the strategic program appropriate to each Year Level ensuring that high quality programs, policies and procedures are developed. Each Head of Year is responsible for a team of Tutors who each mentor a small group of students. The Tutor is most often the first point of contact for students seeking encouragement, assistance and support.
