Students’
time at
the
Outdoor
Education
Camp
will
enable
them to
gain an
appreciation
of the
outdoors,
become
more
aware of
how to
care for
natural
environments,
how to
look
after
themselves
in an
unfamiliar
environment
and
understand
how the
natural
environment
can
influence
their
experience
at camp,
and how
to take
measures
to deal
with
those
factors.
During
2007 the
School’s
traditional
Glenmaggie
campus
was
destroyed
by
flood.
Under
the
guidance
and
experience
of the
Outdoor
Education
staff a
new
program
has been
developed
whilst
planning
and
reconstruction
of a new
permanent
facility
occurs.
The
outdoor
education
program
will
occur
within
the
Glenmaggie
area and
further
details
will be
distributed
when
appropriate.
