Our
boarders
are
housed
in
separate
boys and
girls
boarding
houses.
The
houses
are
equipped
with
single
and
double
rooms
according
to year
levels.
There is
also
dining,
recreational
and
study
facilities
in each
house.
The
students
are
supervised
at all
times by
our live
in House
Master
and
other
qualified
staff
who are
available
to
parents
at any
time to
discuss
a
students
progress. Boarders
also
have the
use of
the
school’s
extensive
recreational
facilities.
Jaffray
House
has
a
truly
International
flavour
with
Asia,
Europe
and
Australia
all
represented
in
our
boarding
family.
We
have
students
from
Indonesia,
Malaysia,
China,
Germany,
Australia,
India,
Hong
Kong
and
Korea.
Jaffray
House
was
originally
established
in 1964
in what
is today
the
School’s
Development
Office
and
moved to
its
present
location
at the
southern
end of
the
School
property
in 1971.
The
house
endeavours
to
promote
a
personal
approach
and for
that
reason
the
accommodation
has been
restricted
to a
maximum
of 45
boys
ranging
from
Years 7
to 12.
Male
boarders
are
housed
in two
buildings.
The main
building
is able
to
accommodate
28 boys
in
two-person,
carpeted
rooms. A
separate
block
for
senior
students
accommodates
twelve
Year 12
boys in
two-person
bed/studies
complete
with
lounge
and
toilet/shower
areas.
The main
house is
serviced
by a
separate
lounge,
dining
room,
toilet/shower
complex
and
laundry.
A
recreation
room
including
TV room
and
various
activities
adjoins
the Year
12
block.
The
house
has a
staff of
six
supervisors,
two
nursing
sisters,
plus
cleaning
and
cooking
staff.
