Welcome
Home > Our School > International Students > Boarding - Boys

Our boarders are housed in separate boys and girls boarding houses. The houses are equipped with single and double rooms according to year levels. There is also dining, recreational and study facilities in each house.

The students are supervised at all times by our live in House Master and other qualified staff who are available to parents at any time to discuss a students progress. Boarders also have the use of the school’s extensive recreational facilities.

Jaffray House has a truly International flavour with Asia, Europe and Australia all represented in our boarding family. We have students from Indonesia, Malaysia, China, Germany, Australia, India, Hong Kong and Korea.

Jaffray House was originally established in 1964 in what is today the School’s Development Office and moved to its present location at the southern end of the School property in 1971. The house endeavours to promote a personal approach and for that reason the accommodation has been restricted to a maximum of 45 boys ranging from Years 7 to 12. Male boarders are housed in two buildings. The main building is able to accommodate 28 boys in two-person, carpeted rooms. A separate block for senior students accommodates twelve Year 12 boys in two-person bed/studies complete with lounge and toilet/shower areas. The main house is serviced by a separate lounge, dining room, toilet/shower complex and laundry. A recreation room including TV room and various activities adjoins the Year 12 block. The house has a staff of six supervisors, two nursing sisters, plus cleaning and cooking staff.
