Spirited
Difference
Every
school
wants to
believe
that it
offers
something
special,
something
just a
little
bit
different
from
other
schools.
At
Peninsula,
we feel
the
same. We
have a
certain
spirit
which
exists
within
the
School,
more
than
just
camaraderie.
It’s a
shared
set of
values
and a
sense of
all
working
together
which is
hard to
define
in
words.
We’re
not
alone in
this
belief.
Visitors
to the
School
regularly
comment
on the
congenial
atmosphere,
which is
immediately
apparent
once you
begin to
walk
around
the
campus.
This
spirit
encompasses
all Year
levels
and is
the
result
of
careful
attention
to a
number
of
factors.
-
Peninsula
follows
sound
Christian
ethics.
Whether
you
personally
have
religious
affiliations
or
not,
the
results,
as
shown
by
the
behaviour
of
our
student
body,
attest
to
the
value
of
inculcating
these
ethics
in
the
routines
of
school
life.
-
Through
the
Pastoral
Care
and
Tutorial
systems
our
teachers
have
a
close
relationship
with
their
students.
They
know
them
individually,
warts
and
all.
This
personal
knowledge
gives
them
a
much
greater
appreciation
of
what
each
student
needs,
both
in
an
educational
and
a
social
sense.
-
The
teachers
are
also
accessible
during
non-class
times
to
offer
extra
help,
should
a
student
need
it.
-
Our
students
are
encouraged
to
respect
one
another,
the
teachers
and
the
School.
-
Co-educational
schooling
promotes
comfortable
and
healthy
interaction
between
the
sexes.
We
regularly
conduct
research
within
the
student
body
to
see
how
they
feel
about
the
School
in
all
its
aspects.
Sexism
is
never
an
issue.
-
Peninsula
exudes
a
warm,
friendly
and
caring
atmosphere.
Whilst
we
have
our
little
upsets
from
time-to-time,
on
the
whole
there
is a
harmonious
relationship
between
all
those
who
share
the
campus.
-
Although
the
Year
levels
all
co-exist
on
one
campus,
each
has
its
own
stipulated
play/recreational
area.
This
allows
big
and
small
the
room
they
need
to
play
safely,
yet
still
allows
socialising
with
ease
amongst
the
different
age
groups.
These
many
factors
contribute
to the
creation
of an
environment
that is
safe for
students
to play,
conducive
for them
to learn
and
encourages
them to
grow.
