Since
1998,
The
Peninsula
School
has been
lucky to
have a
special
relationship
with
Notre-Dame-les-Oiseaux
in
Paris.
The two
schools
have
formed
strong
and
enduring
ties.
Every
two
years,
Peninsula
students
have the
opportunity
to
participate
in a
tour of
France
for
three
weeks.
Approximately
two
weeks of
this
time is
spent
with a
French
host
family.
In the
same
year,
the
students
of Notre
Dame
come to
be a
part of
our
community
for two
weeks.
This is
known as
the
Notre
Dame/TPS
Exchange.
On the
10th
anniversary
of the
first
exchange,
the
relationship
between
Notre
Dame and
The
Peninsula
School
was
formalised
by the
French
government,
and the
two
schools
are now
officially
“appariées.”
Other
opportunities
exist
for
students
of both
schools
to live
and
travel
overseas.
Peninsula
currently
offers a
Scholarship
to
students
of
French
in Year
11,
which
includes
6-8
weeks of
tuition
and
accommodation
(homestay)
in
Paris.
Students
are also
able to
spend
the
Christmas
holiday
period
in
Paris,
attending
school
at Notre
Dame.
Our
French
friends
have the
opportunity
to come
to The
Peninsula
School
during
their
summer
holidays
in July
and
August.
Other
long-term
stays
are
possible,
with
some
students
choosing
to live
and work
in a
type of
“GAP”
year
after
they
have
left
school.
