We have an enviable reputation in sport, across a wide variety of events.

Enrolment at Peninsula assumes a commitment to our compulsory sporting program. For students in the Middle and Senior schools this means they will be available to represent the School on Saturdays.

On the whole, parents welcome the School’s emphasis on health and fitness. While many students will progress to state and national levels, most will simply enjoy skill development and the opportunity to experience sports that they may not have otherwise.

Many students develop a real love of sport and take their commitment to a physical lifestyle into their adult years. Students and staff work cooperatively for a common goal. Camaraderie, teamwork, school spirit, leadership opportunities, discipline and lifelong friendships are founded in our sports program. Saturday sport may take some time from a weekend but in return it provides a lifetime of value.

Our Junior School also boasts an exciting sporting program. Physical Education is a core subject at all levels, with a focus on the building of skills and fostering a love of sport and physical exercise. Healthy competition abounds in our House events including athletics, swimming and cross country. Students represent the School in the local Mt. Eliza Primary District Schools’ Sports Association where successful students have the opportunity to advance to Zone, State, National Championships and International levels in athletics, cross-country, swimming, netball, soccer and football.

The sporting program is further supplemented with opportunities within the Associated Grammar Schools competition, which focuses on participation and friendly competition. Outdoor Education is also offered in the Junior School. All grades enjoy the opportunity to participate in a full range of sequential camp and life skill activities designed to support motor-skill development, responsibility, An extensive range of sports is on offer, including:
